They Will Fill in the Blanks

Have you ever met someone or been with someone and thought, "I just don't know about this person" or "I wonder if they are mad, sad, happy"? People rely a great deal on the nonverbal messages we send. Nonverbal messages include your facial expressions and your body language. If we do not communicate with words about who we are or what we are thinking, others will fill in the blanks and come up with their own ideas.

Tip of the day: Be sure that your nonverbal language is communicating an accurate message of what you intend for others to receive. Asking friends about the nonverbal messages you send is a great way to see how others see you.

I know you all have great tips as well. Feel free to share those in the "comments" section of this blog.

Happy Monday!
